SONIC STUDIES & OTHER ESSAYS ™is a fan-curated immersive literary listening experience that explores the artists, albums, movements, and cultural moments that have shaped how we hear, remember, and understand the world. Music deserves to be heard as closely as literature.
Each gathering is devoted to a single sonic essay. Across a curated two-hour journey, a live DJ sequences music as narrative, moving through the records that defined an artist or era while archival imagery, film, television, and cultural ephemera unfold across the room. Songs become arguments. Transitions become thesis. The dance floor becomes part listening room, part living archive.
This is not a concert, ode, or traditional DJ set. It is a study of music through sound, image, memory, and movement, created to be listened to collectively and experienced in full.
